Christian have become passive in the service to the Lord. We no longer find Christ as the primary motivation for serving. Where are the Christian that desire to serve the Lord. Where are those who come in the Name of The Lord. We find it easy to quietly praise the Lord. We lack the motivation to serve Jesus in the Church. Once upon a time you could find a Christian going door to door, preaching the gospel to the poor. Nowadays, if you ask them to come and volunteer to pass out food, sort clothes or even bring their children to the ministry. They can find a million motivating reasons not to show up and show out for Jesus. However, it is the comforts of life that keeps them far from Jesus. We have decided we have all we need and therefore there is no need to work at our salvation. In our minds we have reasoned that we have served our time. Pass it on to the next generation. Allow them to do something. Well after years of watching us do nothing they have become a generation that will not do anything. It is amazing how many ways we can find to get to the ball game, host a dinner party, hang out, shop, and just plain stay home in our pajamas. But we cannot find anytime for Jesus. Just imagine for a moment if Jesus said I cannot find the time to Die on the Cross. OMG! we would be in a world of trouble. Sin would be more prevalent today than it already is. We would have mass confusions. Maybe there would be no mankind left. If Jesus decided that day to NOT BARE OUR SINS where would we be. If he had decided to remain the carpenters son. What would we do? Where would you be today if there was no Savior. Think about it. Some of the most notorious gangsters, addicts and criminals have come to know Jesus and have been transformed. Think about who you were before you found Jesus. Or did you ever truly find Him? These are questions to ponder when you decide that it is not as important for you , your child or your family to serve, participate and assist in the ministry. When you decide that things of this world are more important than the things of the Spiritual World then you know you never really was transformed by the world. You only had a momentary experience. Those who have been transformed, sold out for the Word and Life of Christ know that it is a command This is our reasonable service. We are to serve Him with praise, jubilation and thanksgiving. For He did Die For us and counted us worthy of the cost to put on our sins and die. Is He Worthy of your time. When we think about what we deny the Lord that we may be satisfied in our Flesh, what a cost we shall pay. So this week think of How the Lord became the lamb for you and Ask Yourself What are you willing to give for Him.
